Ahhhhhh!! I listened to the full preview of Sakura Girl by NEWS and it was AWESOME!!
It is officially my most favourite single out of all the NEWS singles!! And THAT'S saying something!! Because I really like their other singles too ... so i guess you can say its my favouritest of the favourites!! HAHA XD
The song itself is very catchy, upbeat and also with a nice piano introduction and great melody!! Love the numerous falsettos wahaha! And i must agree with what others say - NEWS singing has improved! They sound much better together as a group :) TegoMass of course has improved by leaps and bounds and are the best singers LOL ... But i would have to say that some of the other members really still cannot sing >_<
Anyway, the lyrics that i can find online are all in romaji ... of course if i search in Japanese sure have a lot of sites with kanji lyrics. But must practice my Japanese and try to improve with the help of Denshi Jisho! XDD So those that i am not sure i just leave it in hiragana *grinz*. Also please tell me if i made any mistakes and i will correct them asap!! Thank you!!! ^_^
Here's my attempt ...

NATAS Fair Feb 2010
Thanks to cell group member dear Inez - i managed to enter the NATAS fair free of charge!!! wahaha! the queue was horrendous. Apparently, Inez said they were queuing since 9am >_< And i just waltzed through the entrance doors with a skip and a jump! PTL!
Anyway, Inez directed me through my hp STRAIGHT to the Yokoso! Japan booth which could be found right next to the entrance. As she would be joining me later, i just wondered around aimlessly looking at the STACKS of brochures they have and the lovely photos on their display boards :) i went in from the right, which was the osaka kansai region, then there was the hokkaido region etc etc
Then i saw some Tokyo brochures, so i headed in that direction to get more information for my trip in October! Then this funny cute Japanese guy approached me with tour brochures to the Kanto region, telling me that if i book today i will get good discounts!! haha i proceeded to ask him if he has any information on Hakone, because Hakone information from the web is not enough. So he went "Ah! Hakone! Wait wait" (in cute Japanese english accent) then went off to hantam his colleagues in rapid Japanese if they have Hakone information. LOL
So one cute young Japanese guy saw his chance and approached me to fill in a survey about Japan, promising free souvenirs LOL. I dun really go for such stuff but since he was so earnest (and cute), i took the clipboard and proceeded to fill in the survey >_< ... in the meantime some singaporean aunties started harassing the poor guy on why this souvenir pen no ink, why this why that. but he was so nice to them about it God bless him.
Then i realised it was a TWO page survey! I had a hard time trying to turn the page on the clipboard because of my Tokyo brochures, handbag etc. Then the nice guy realised he forgot to tell me that there were 2 pages and hurriedly took my stuff from me - so gentlemanly God bless his heart ^_^
So after breezing through the survey, he proceeded to show me the whole array of souvenirs that i can take - and he said "Choose two, choose two" (in cute Japanese english accent which i realise i have a fetish for XDDDD). I saw two little purple shell handphone chains so i just shyly said "Ah, these two, thank you *smile*". And he was a little taken aback that i was not the typical singaporean who would plough through the souvenirs LOL!! then he kept thanking me and bowing like i did him a HUGE favour for not being kiasu about the souvenirs and for doing a multiple choice survey o.O
In the meantime, the previous guy came back with a whole bunch of pamphlets and brochures with him. He proceeded to take all my stuff from the other guy to place it in this cute green plastic bag with a adorable cartoon horse on it LOL. While he was telling me he found the Hakone stuff and proceeded to place them into the bag, Inez called me! I quickly thanked him and picked up my phone. Inez asked me where i was - i said "ah i am at the yokoso japan booth". She was like "eh? i'm here too, but i dun see you" LOL. Then i was ilke "oh! i'm at the Kanto region" - here's when the helpful Japanese man who was busy stuffing my stuff into the bag, literally paused, looked at me, nodded and smiled at me and to himself like i just recited a whole essay in Japanese XDDDDD
So when Inez finally found me, he was very friendly and warm - asking "is this your friend?" and then proceeded to bombard Inez with more brochures and pamphlets. i tell you i have never seen someone who wants others to visit his country so much! After we left the Yokoso Japan booth, Inez gave me a tour of the whole NATAS fair, whilst searching for Japanese Tourism Board for info on the Japan Rail Pass. But sadly, we walked one round and couldn't find it!! So i suggested why don't we ask the Yokoso people, i mean should be their なかま right? LOL
So we went back and Inez asked the first guy at the Kanto booth:
Inez: "Excuse me ..."
Guy at booth: "Hai!!" (XDDD)
Inez: "Do you know where is the JTB booth?"
Guy at booth: "JTB, JTB ... chottomatte kudasai" (Dawn luvs this XDD)
Guy at booth (lets call him 1) turns to two other guys at booth:
Guy 1: "JTB はどこか?"
Guy 2: "え?JTB, JTB..."
Guy 3: "あ!JTB ..."
Guy 2: "JTB 入ってるか?"
Guy 3: "入って..入ってない、入ってない"
(Inez - *staring blankly* ???)
Dawn to Inez: "Oh don't have don't have"
All three guys turn to look at us in shock (HAHA XDDD)
So they proceeded to ask us what we were looking for because maybe they can help! So Inez said Japan Rail Pass. But they did not understand - so they hurriedly waved over a colleague who understood English and we said Japan Rail Pass again. She went "Oh!! JR Pass" and the three Japanese guys went "おお!JR パス" (Dawn XDDDD). So a helpful Japanese lady gave us some pamphlets on JR Pass. But she was advising us to only get it if we are traveling around Japan on 新幹線 shinkansen, if not it is not worth it. So we were asking her what about to Hakone? Then she told us just take the normal train from 新宿 Shinjuku station via the 小田急線 Odakyu Line to 小田原 Odawara Station. Inez and Dawn - O.O "Ohhhh".
Then one guy (he is singaporean) asked:
"JR パスはほうがいいですか?"
and the lady went
"いいえ、そんなじゃありません。JR パスは高いです。"
Dawn to Inez: "ohhh we just take the normal train lor. Very expensive leh!" *stares at the ridiculous rates*
Japanese lady: "Yes! it is very expensive!" *nods vehemently*
Then the Singaporean guy suggested that we take the day tours to Hakone, because he say if you do not speak a little Japanese, it will be hard if we go there ourselves. I just humbly nodded and decided not to say anything LOL XDD
So after thanking them furiously for their help, we were about to officially leave the Yokoso booth when i saw that they were giving out free premium green tea for people to try!! *glint in dawn's eyes* so i told Inez *glint in inez's eyes* and Inez went to ask them and they said to wait 10 minutes (whilst bowing and apologizing) cause its still brewing haha XD. So we hung around the booth - got Tokyo Disneyland brochures and info, walked around, resulting in more Japanese people pouncing on us to try the Kansai region which Inez said she has already been to.
So this funny Japanese guy introduced us to the Lake Biwa region - claiming that the lake is the same size as Singapore, pointing to the east saying "this will be changi airport" and to the west "and this will be tuas" and to the south centre "and this is orchard road!!" *grins* Inez and Dawn "BUAHAHAHAHA". He also claims "No tourists there!" and Inez played along saying "oh! so we will be the first Singaporeans there if we go?" - Japanese guy "Yes Yes!" *nods vehemently* BUAHAHAHA XDD
Later this lady approached us with our tea and APOLOGIZED for letting us wait >_< OMG i felt so bad LOL. She also proceeded to tell us that this is the number one tea in Japan, from the prefecture called Shizuoka and also told us about green tea's health properties. So we took a sip of it - OMG it was so fragrant, yet clear, not strong, yet not too light ... it was like drinking fresh spring water with green tea taste XDDDDDDDD. Inez and i could not stop gushing over it LOL.
So finally we reluctantly left the booth and had a hard time finding the exit because it was located WAY over the other side >_<
Thank you Jesus for this lovely experience at the NATAS fair! I love Japan! I love Japanese people! God please hurry up save them!!

MDIS sistas outing!
Ahhhh! today was a good day! :)
Met up with Pearlin and Melissa at The Big O Cafe at Wheelock Place for lunch first - Melissa n I had fish and Pearlin had pasta :)
Then we walked around ION first because Pearlin wanted to get her LG Lollipop handphone that Melissa already got haha. But to no avail, because her phone plans haven expire yet and in the end she decided that an upgrade to a Lollipop hp is not worth it hahaha. So since we were at the ION, we went to Topshop to pay Nicole a visit :)
After that, we walked alot around Orchard Road ... sightseeing at the superexpensiveonlyrichpeoplewillshop Mandarin Gallery, which had some nice stuff (that only can look), Japanese Tourism Board and comfy sofas haha.
Then we went to Cineleisure to take neoprints!! haha its been such a LONG time since i last took neoprints hehe. But this neoprint machine was so super stressful! The screen changed so quickly!! Melissa and I fumbled through with our mediocre Japanese and somehow managed to end up at the taking photos stage LOL. THEN! the photos were taken in like 3 seconds, so we had to rush like crazy to change places or think of poses! >_<
After that, we were unsure of what we wanted to do next ... First we went upstairs to the cinema to see if there were any movies worth watching at a suitable time, apparently not. Then we went up again to the arcade area to see if there were any DVDS worth renting a room to watch, apparently not. So we went one floor down to KBOX to check out if the karaoke rates were affordable, apparently not!
So we ended up walking to 313 Somerset Mall to check things out! Nothing much there too, so we decided to rest at Blue Mountain Cafe and have a drink :)
As it was getting late, we walked to Pearlin's bakery to collect her cakes then she gave us a lift home!! :)
Good day of fun and lotsa chatting!! Thank You Jesus! :)

探しましょう!
I had a good run yesterday :) Although my thigh muscles hurt a little, a bit stiff today haha! Have not been running seriously since ... hmmm ... i dun even remember!! hahaha!
But it felt really good! Like Tegoshi says 「ああ、いい汗出た!」, makes me feel really healthy LOL but the bad side is that i totally forgot the feeling when your lungs and chest totally hurt from lack of air! And then you need to take deep gulps of air to feel better muahaha. i shall work on it ... がんばります!
Its sad that we live in such a society that we need to go out and work. If i had lived during the prairie times maybe, i would just be contented to stay at home with my small vegetable garden, do sewing, clean the house, cook, visit the neighbours etc haha. BUT in this century we need to go out and work to earn money!! Not how to survive!?!
Yet i am at the crossroads, the same position the Melissa is in now. We just dun feel like dressing up in office wear to go for interviews after interviews again. And the thing is we dun even know WHAT we want to do, so interview what?? We both know we want to start our own business in the future. But in the meantime, what has the Lord in store for us?
So this is a period of waiting and seeking the Lord. Knowing myself, i am patient with people but very impatient for things to happen in my own life haha. So i really need to sit at the Lord's feet to find out what He wants me to do for the year 2010. And for the years to come ... 探しましょう!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." ~ Matthew 7:7-8 ~

Exercise is good for health!!
After attempting to run the day before yesterday, i feel like running again today! All thanks to Soukon! HAHAHA XD
Massu, Tegoshi, Koyama and Shige made me interested in running haha. They just made it seem so easy and yet so fun LOL. And somehow after watching Soukon, i realised what i like about running is that there is a starting point and a goal.
Now that i'm searching for my goal in life, i feel that running is a good practice for me! My favourite sport is swimming though, i LOVE swimming. But swimming alone, going back and forth in laps with just the sound of water around you can get quite boring ...
But with running, i can plug in my ipod and listen to wonderful worship songs or the angelic voices of TegoMass hahaha. AND!! I must set a goal and aim to finish my running course ;)
However, i solemnly know my limits and would NEVER attempt Soukon goals. Like the 10km in less than one hour. crazy celebrities tsk tsk. I'd probably take the whole day to run 10km - with rests, drinks and eating time in between wahahaha! Hmmm but i could probably attempt the Soukon 21m sprint WAHAHA!
" But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
- Isaiah 40:31 -

Recipes ...
It is the 3rd day of CNY!! Blessed Gong Xi Fa Cai to everyone again!!!
Anyway, i have to start getting ready my flea market stock to sell! Mel and I would most probably be doing the one in March. Oops! by Mel i mean Melissa hahahaha.
And also, I would like to start trying some yummy wummy recipes by Jamie Oliver or Nigella Lawson!! And no, i would not be doing the Julie & Julia type of blog haha. Just try some recipes that interest me at my own pace and at my own time.
Most of the really delicious looking and sounding recipes needs an oven!! BAH those recipes would have to wait till i'm married and i have my own oven at home LOL
In the meantime, keeping myself healthy even though its slacking period, for the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit! Did some running just now, feels real good to perspire and for the heart to beat fast ... spurred on by watching too much Soukon HAHAHA, later probably go for a nice swim once the sun is down :)
Today is the last day of the long sprint of public holidays ... so everyone enjoy yourself to the fullest, for its back to work or school tomorrow for most peeps!!
Verse of the day:
"Commit thy plans to the Lord, and your work will succeed." Proverbs 16:3 :)

Chinese New Year
Blessed Chinese New Year to everyone!!!
Reunion dinner last night with the family was fun! The highlights were the delicious yu sheng, webcam with Sumei and Paul, and Pearlin's blueberry cheesecake *YUMZ*
First day of CNY today was uneventful, just the same visitation to grandparents place and a simple lunch :)
Looking forward more to the visitations to Auntie Chin's place, lunch with the MDIS sistas and home hopping visitations with the TK sistas! Ang paos come to mama! MUAHAHA
Praise God for CNY as another source of income for we youngsters! :P

Quiet Assurance in Christ
AAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNDDDDD!! The countdown is officially ZERO peeps!! 0000000000!!!
My chains are gone, I've been set freeeeeeeeeeeeee woohoo!!
First time i've slept in on a saturday in MONTHS!! It was SUCH a good rest *sighz*
I woke up a few times thinking i had to go to work though, can you see the amount of stress i suffered LOL. Would take some time for me to totally heal and get over it.
In the meantime, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to everyone!! May everyone have a great CNY, receive lotsa ang paos and eat lotsa goodies!!!
~ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths ~ ^_^

5 more working days!!!
I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chatted all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with Sorrow,
And ne’er a word said she;
But, oh! The things I learned from her,
When sorrow walked with me.

9.5 more working days
I think it would be quite fun if i started counting down through my blog hahaha, gives me some kind of motivation LOL
Today was another eventful day ... by eventful - i was leaning towards the negative perspective ... seriously Singaporeans need to be educated again with that orange courtesy lion. EVERY day sure got not only one, but MANY people who either yell or shout, or be sarcastic, or scold you and the company, use vulgarities etc etc.
Dun treat call centre agents like that lah, its their job to listen to your problems yes, but they are there to help you! Angry at them for what?!? Its always the company that they are working for that sucks, with no proper processes and procedures, where nobody knows what they are doing, and most of the time work is not done. THAT'S why you have a problem and you give us a call.
Sheesh ... sometimes some of my colleagues become very fierce to customers or even turn into gangster-like mode hahahaha. i really thank the Lord for always being there with me at my work. Standing beside me and giving me the strength, lifting my burden and anger, and giving me lots of self control and patience :)
So its another day down and 9.5 more working days to go!! In the meantime i need to seek the Lord to find out what He wants me to do ... That's my current goal!!
