What a blessed day it is today! My birthday! haha

Secondly, special huggies to my two angels for appearing this morning! Xiao qi and Priyanka!! I was so shocked lor! still half asleep on my bed when they suddenly appear with the cake and candles. sho sweet! Love you ladies! *muackz*

Thirdly, to my dearest family for all the ang paos and your time. Love you too!

ok going for dinner now. Thanks to everyone for making this such a special day!!!

so fun! frequent badmintons with yiling and xiao qi. occasional lunches/dinners that includes priyanka or jia shin. and now quite recently, swimming with yiling - see you on friday!! (your muscles got a bit aching after the swimming notz)

then also enjoying the fellowship with fellow brothers and sisters! cell group on friday nights, Miracle Service at Lighthouse on Saturday nights and Church service on Sundays. woohoo!

Very physically, emotionally and most especially spritually refreshed! Can spend time with family and friends so happy!

Sooo rachel, lc, fiona and jiawen - one day must meet up ok!!! oh yah valerie i haven pass you your souvenirs...

anyway, everyone keep going yah! jia you! ganbatte! dun give up! hang in there!

now busy working. so not much time to update. but when i in spore. no work. no school. so i can update you as much as you want! hehehe

Work and School

Hey everyone!

haha decided to write this update since LC requested it.

All i can say is that i am very tired haha.

School five days a week. then work weekends.

So have to cram all my studying and homework doing into school days.

And last 2 weeks of school somemore, so all the huge exams and huge final projects due!

pray for me yah!

Marriott Field Trip

Hello!! How is everyone? Please tag if you drop by ok?

Anyway, went on an overnight field trip at the Marriott Hotel in Toronto! so cool! let me tell u my experience through pictures!!

Now, here is me at the entrance of the Courtyard Marriott, Toronto. There are 3 Marriotts on one street. This one is the largest one because it specializes in Meeting Functions.

These are my group members for the project, which is to redesign a hotel room. Left to right: Me, Jessica, Doris and Sarah. I usually group with Canadians and not with international students, so it was a new experience haha. Close up of the groupie. We call this our family photo with Sarah as the grandmother hehehe.

This is Nancy, another international student, whose boyfriend works in the partner's restaurant that is the franchise of my mum's resturant. Whew! Never mind if you didn't get that haha

This is our lovely Maquette board. Shows our design, furniture, colour scheme. Look closely and you can see a carpet sample and tile sample.
This is me with our board. I was quite surprised that I actually looked professional and all spiffy!

So the presentations commenced simultaneously. The lappie is to show the pictures clearly and the binder at the side shows our Budgeting, Specifications Manual, Executive Summary and Design Summary

Another Director of something something i forgot. There were lotsa of them, even the Director of Sales and Marketing of Marriott CANADA! but didn't get a pic of the rest.

Anyway, the agenda goes like this. 9 leave school, 10.30 reach Marriott, 12 Lunch, 1.30 Presentations and Networking with Executives, 3.30 Check in to room, 6 pm Dinner.

So here is me in one of the corridors posing before the dinner. Everyone says this pic looks like the Manager of the hotel, can post in resume haha!

The dinner was AWESOME. i was sooo full. And it was a candlelight dinner too!
So this is my hotel room, Doris was my roomie. As you can see, their beds are huge here. They dun have one single bed like Singapore. This size, which they call a Double, is their smallest size here.
Anyway, Marriott invested millions into changing ALL their hotel beds to what they call Heavenly Beds. REALLY comfortable beds with FIVE pillows of different hard/softness. I asked Doris to take a pic of me posing so shiok haha!

I decided against drinking with my friends, so Sarah and Jessica came over and we hung out talking about Korean serials haha. Watched Legally Blonde and just plain relaxed. It was splendid i tell u, cause you can drink or shop anytime .. But seldom have time to just relax.

Before we went to bed, I even managed to chat with Doris about my faith! Answered her questions with the verses that I found from the Bible and shared about my personal walk with Jesus. I think this part was the highlight of my field trip! Because fulfilling the desires of life or ensuring success in life is just a passing temporary part of life. What is important is eternity and the harvesting of souls! So I answered her queries and got her all excited that she wants to buy a Bible! I recommended NIV, cause its simple to understand for her. She even told me that she wants to accept her friend's invitation to her Chinese church for Good Friday! Praise the Lord! Pray for her! I felt that after that talk with her, my spirit felt so joyful! woohoo! Thank You Lord!

*SLEEP*

The next day, we had a buffet breakfast, which was EXCELLENT. They had sooo much stuff ... Sausages, Bacon, Ham, French Toast, Potato Pancakes, Pancakes... Make your own omelette, Make your own waffles... Gahh i made my own waffle, Doris made her own omelette and we shared. YUMZ!!

Anyway, that was my lovely field trip! I really enjoyed it! Although I need to pray over my shyness with strangers. I just zipped and clammed up, and could not network well. Pray for me over this too!

Anyway, i now very busy with school. Last FIVE weeks of school before i graduate! so of course got SO many projects, LOTSA assignments and ENDLESS tests ... gaaah *sigh* *thud* *faint*

ok enough of the stressing, a pic to brighten your day perhaps?

Some flowers for everyone!! A girl always likes to receive flowers hehe. My first plant, a daisy, died. Second one, a rose, still surviving outside but asleep cause winter. Third one, little bamboo, still growing nice and strong. But I wanna show you the newest addition to the family! My African Violets ...

Easter is coming! Lets remember the Lord's love for us when He died on the cross, but also celebrate His resurrection! He's Alive!!
