Almost there ...

10.5 more working days!!! I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!!

Once the cell group chinese new year celebration dinner on 12 Feb arrives, I am OFFICIALLY free from my bondage!! I will seriously be super happy at that dinner haha. On that day, I will belt out the song - "My chains are gone, I've been set free! My God my Saviour, has ransomed me! And like a flood, His mercy rains. Unending love, amazing grace!"

Then I can really honestly enjoy my Chinese New Year with a light heart and joyful spirit :)

Then I need to seek the Lord!! For as Pastor Rony told Pastor Pacer and Tracey regarding their lives calling - "Find out what the Lord wants you to do and DO IT!"

Bondage

Three more weeks till I can be set free from this...

I should not have just jumped in at the first opportunity, blinded by my excitement because it was the best offered so far. Even when I read the contract, the terms were so obviously unfair, but I just happily signed it anyway...

But I do thank the Lord for this opportunity. At least I made some good friends through my colleagues and I learnt many things from this job. And also I could earn money for the past 3 months :)

I learnt my lesson, to wait on the Lord - for what He has prepared for me are plans that will prosper me, not to harm me, to give me hope and a future...

And everyone now advises me NOT to sign any bond with a company, which I SOOOOOoooo totally, heartily, vehemently agree. And I need to find out what I like doing, somewhere that I can excel using my talents and enjoy it. While searching, I will attempt the flea market with Melissa which seems like real fun, and take up temp jobs here and there to earn money.

The Lord said He would show me what He wants me to do, so in the meantime I need to pray lotz and really seek Him. For seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you!!

I pray that the 3 weeks past by REAL fast and that I come out of this depressing unhappy self. For the joy of the Lord is my strength!!

James 1:2-6; 13

Recently, I have been going through a trying time because of work and I have been really studying the Word of God to gain more insight and to know the mind of God.

Of course the verse that currently applies to me most is James 1:2-4. But when I went to read it again, I noticed that we should actually continue reading James 1:5-6 and verse 13 too.

The one that I find most difficult is the first part, where we have to "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds" - which is terribly difficult and almost impossible when you are feeling down, or basically not happy at all. Its funny because I have been through stuff in my life that made me really sad, that I told myself next time I will never ever feel like that again. But yet when trial comes, you just can't help it LOL. How do you have pure joy??

Then you read on and it says why, "because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." - which is very true, because after every trial in life I find that my faith has increased. Whether a little, or alot it does not matter. And I do find that yes, after persevering with God throughout the trial, I find myself a better and more mature person.

But it doesn't end at verse 4! The answer to how I can get pure joy and perseverance is in the next two verses. It says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." - Now isn't that obvious? Its just that we keep relying on our own strength! We need to rely on God, ask for His wisdom to pull through our trials and obtain the pure joy from Him!

Dun just ask blindly though! Because it says, "But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." - So dun just ask for fun, I need to seriously believe it from the bottom of my heart. Not easy *sniff*

And then finally, in verse 13 it says "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." - Now how cool is THAT!! God has already promised me the crown of life!! So whats that mere 3 weeks and 1.5 days more!?!? Its as small as a mustard seed!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Not in the head, but engraved onto my heart ...

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
- John 15:5 -

"I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me."
- Philippians 4:13 -

"My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
- Philippians 4:19 -

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11 -

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."
- James 1:2-5 -

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 -

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose."
- Romans 8:28 -

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
- Isaiah 41:10 -

"The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
- Psalm 118:6 -

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
- Joshua 1:9 -

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
- Galatians 5:22-23 -

And so MUCH more!! This is just scraping the surface, if you consider the 7000 over promises our Lord has given us!!

The Touch of the Master's Hand

'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it was scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin
But held it up with a smile.

"What am I bidden, good folks," he cried,
"Who'll start the bidding for me?
"A dollar, a dollar," then, two! Only two?
"Two dollars, and who'll make it three?"
"Three dollars, once, three dollars, twice;
Going for three..."

But no,
From the room, far back, a grey-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then, wiping the dust from the old violin,
And tightening the loose strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet
As a caroling angel sings.

The music ceased, and the auctioneer,
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said:"What am I bid for the old violin?"
And he held it up with the bow.

"A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two?
"Two thousand! And who'll make it three?"
Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice;
And going and gone," said he.

The people cheered, but some of them cried,
"We do not quite understand
What changes its worth?" Swift came the reply:
"The touch of the master's hand."

And many a man with life out of tune,
And battered and scarred with sin,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd,
Much like the old violin.
A "mess of potage," a glass of wine;
A game--and he travels on.

He is "going" once, and "going" twice,
He's "going" and almost "gone."
But the Master comes and the foolish crowd
Never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that's wrought
By the touch of the Master's hand.

Appearing on TV or the net?

Today my trainer/team leader "sabo" me to appear on Razor tv which would be shown this thursday on the internet!! AHHHHHH!

I was so shocked when he told me to prepare myself. Good thing i wore a nice top today, but I didn't put any make up!! They just filmed me doing my work and answering the calls. But I hope the cameraman filmed me real nice because he moved the camera too close for comfort!! And HELLO, I do not have Tegoshi's complexion LOL we shall see if I even appear haha

Oh well, like my sis says, praise the Lord! I was also thanking the Lord at that time, cause His favour is upon me :)

And my ticket has been approved!! Praise the Lord!! At first there was some problems with the redemption, but I prayed real hard and the Lord approved it for me! YAY!!

Ok better go rest for another day's work tomorrow!

Was complaining to the Lord that I am working for nothing, then I just flipped my Bible opened to start my quiet time ... And VOILA!! The Lord led me to this verse!

Isaiah 49:4
I have labored to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing. Yet what is due me is in the LORD's hand, and my reward is with my God.

How awesome is our God!!
